Hi. I'm Saket Kakkar. I am 29 years old, and work as an IT (Information Technology) consultant with IBM Global Services. My college education comprises a B Tech in Civil Engineering from IIT Mumbai, and a PGDM from IIM Lucknow.
Since my father had a transferable job with the Indian Railways, I studied in schools across the country. That made me amenable to making new friends whenever I got the chance. My pre-college education saw me studing in schools in Lucknow, Patiala, Ratlam, Ajmer, Bhavnagar, Jhansi, Ajmer (again) and Chennai. In 1994, I completed my school education from SBOA School and Junior College, Chennai. It was in July 1994, that I joined IIT Bombay. That is when I was introduced to a workshop called "THE ART OF LIVING". Founded by the famous spiritual guru Sri Sri Ravishankar, The Art of Living has gone a long way in spreading smiles across the globe. It had the same effect on me. And till date, I have been greatly influenced by the wisdom, values and knowledge exhibited by Sri Sri Ravishankarji. Music is one of my foremost hobbies. I sing. My interest in singing fanges from Hindustani Classical to Hindi Film Songs to Light Western Music. I also play the guitar, piano and tabla. This hobby keeps me busy during any spare time that I find.
